My own attempt at a non-contentious thread

What's your best piece of kit / innovation for the mine explorer? Could be SRT kit, photography, or anythind really.

My starter for 5... Heated car seats 🙂 So nice after a day in deep water!

Close second is the Petzl Pantin.

Thats it, I have gone too far. Loging off for the night.

If I dont shut down I will be on to LED lighting.
My avatar is a poor likeness.

Why would you want to go underground without a helmet? 🙂

Wouldn't dream of it however if I'm using my helmet to carry out all my minerals and artifacts I need something keep my lamp attached to my head.

I was quite impressed by the kit those guys had when they visited Fron Boeth mill, but FIVE helicopters!
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

Just plain greedy really! Think of their carbon footprint! Maybe they were trying to build up their air miles?

I hope that's a joke .. mineral and artifact theft is frowned upon by alot of people here 😉

No, keep your helmet on at all times! I find that the pelicase 1050 is a perfect size for clay pipes, get the optional 'pluck out' foam insert to stop them jiggling about or squashed by your mineral specimens.

Sorry folks. I didn't mean that to sound patronising. But after a day of deleting and moderating posts from one or two people hell bent on antagonising each other I didn't want another thread to degenerate due to a minority who either have an axe to grind or an inability to spot a tonne of irony...

Better to regret something you have done - than to regret something you have not done.
