Unless its been dug out, the No 3 level is buried under tons of debris from the floods and severe weather event that hit several years back.. :(
Likewise, fall on the High Force cross-cut shortly before that, prevents the through trip...was talk of digging that out too-before the floods then arrived..
Rounding it all off, Force Crag is the site of trial mine water remediation scheme funded by Coal Authority and various other parties, coupled with National Trust land owners, so, considerable monitoring, sampling, logging works = for the last several years access been 'fluid' ::)
