Hi Annabel,
I am not sure where to start, but your project has interested some topics which are close to my heart - even though I am no longer based in Cornwall, I hasten to add.
You see I graduated from CSM in the 1980's when places like South Crofty, Wheal Jane and Geevor were still operational 'just'.
I remember Harvey's foundry in Hale, and a few other site which I suspect have been turned into shopping malls and the like - or just museum pieces. South Crofty on the other hand will live again - I hope.
Yes I have digressed a little. I moved upto to Derbyshire about 4 years ago to Bonsall.
The strange thing is that the influence of the Cornish Tin miner is not restricted just to Cornwall.
I currently work for Tarmac Tunstead Quarry in Buxton and I have located some very interesting photo's
Let me know if you would like to hear more ?
Kind Regards, Paul Turner
PS I have not been back to Troon, Tuckingmill, Portreath for about 15 years now
