Hi all,

I am producing a TV Series about "How Cornwall Changed The World", It is based on Cornish mining history and I am appealing for stories, photos and ideas for the series.

Shooting begins at Trevithick day but then will pause until the height of summer (July/August). The series will be shot above and below ground.

There has been a press release set out to all local media organisastions and it is starting to gain publicity.

If you can listen to BBC Cornwall today between 3.30pm and 4pm you will hear an interview with me regarding the project.

A news article can be found here:
http://www.thisisthewestcountry.co.uk/news/cornwall_news/11148205.Can_you_help_tell_the_story__how_Cornish_mining__Changed_the_World__/

If you want to get involved, please let me know.

Will it say anything new or will it just trot out the usual time worn clichés?

It will be a thorough treatment structured in a novel, but effective manner.

I hope it will include China Clay mining as well...

Of course, I was going to hold china clay back to the second series, I am in contact with carnglaze regarding slate. most of the engine house roofs came from carnglaze apparently!

You can never please everyone!

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
