Yes, been told I am a spammer, without even posting anything.

I have been called some things, but this takes the biscuit.

I can understand why they would ban you, but I don't understand why you want to sign up

Well, they have never given me any problems and therefore I have nothing against them. And they do show a more responsible attitude than the YouTube clickbaiters, thats my take on it.

I just thought it would be interesting to take part in some of the discussions. I have a bit of a side interest in 19th Cent military sites and some of their stuff has been very good.
I remember an account of a boat trip to some remote fortified Scottish Island were they found 'decommissioned' RMLs.

They also found complete ones rusting away on Drakes island.
All interesting stuff.

It might be something to do with the domain name in your email?

Try one of those 10 min mail sites and see if you can sign up with that.

:offtopic: I tried reporting a particularly nasty spam phishing email to the approved .gov department. My email was promptly bounced back, declaring it had 'spam-like characteristics'

no s#it, Sherlock!

Fair reasoning - I just thought they preferred people who post LOTS of photos rather than just comment 🙂 The spammy reason sounds more likely.

Hi Roy,
Just ignore them we all know what you have done over the years and by and large it is pretty good!
If it is any consolation to you at one time I tried to join another Mines exploration group based in cymnbria, only to be told they did not want me!
It goes without saying that this group is no longer in existence!

Ikedaya Incident?

The ultimate fate of 28DL for insulting Roy

Hi Roy thanks for the Link, unfortunately it is all Japanese to me!
Take care, and try to avoid the Chinese bug.
Regards John

I wouldn't take it to heart, its probably the email address being rejected by an automated spam system. Try creating a gmail account or the like?

I have just visited the site and have a "welcome" banner heading.

The military stuff is very interesting and the members appear to a have a genuine respect for these places. I am aware of the poor reputation of this site, but we need to be aware that any group will attract all kinds.

Please, whoever it is, extend my thanks to the 28DL admins who sorted this out.

Well someone actually called me "The Chuck Norris of mine exploration"

Mmm, this sits better with me.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
