I opened an email this morning and spotted this, its got a fan to keep it cool. Don't think that I would fancy carrying it too far though.

Not particularly impressive at 7500 lumens.
My X16 caplamp is 7200, Imolent DX 80 off eBay for about £200 is 32000 lumens, Imolent also do a 50K and 100K.
Cant understand the cooling fan, never mind the price. I built a fairly good 7200 lumen torch for about £75, write up here

Thank goodness for that, a caving/mine type reply.
After I followed the link and saw the torch, I thought Roy's other hobby must be shooting kangaroos.

And each one is a proper lumen.
When I meet people with armtek torches that claim there 3500 lumen's my x12 is much brighter at 3500 these must be in comparison Shetland ponies in the armtek Roy’s lumens are shire horses :thumbsup:
