I think that the user can still view his or her reports even if moved to Non public without seeing the rest of the non public forums.

Although, yes it was me who started this thread.

As a closure we do try and keep sensitive places away from the masses, so yes there is a private section for these places. If anyone feels an existing report should not be in the public eyes just let us know.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to mine exploration in 1984 by whoever were venturing into the Coniston Copper Mines at the time, always had a healthy interest since and don't have a YouTube channel.

Just a sad state of affairs how things have gotten to now, and for things like mines could jeopardise access for normal folk who do have a healthy interest at exploring these places and not just posting shite for likes and shares.

That's odd, because a few years ago when I asked to have a post about trespassed photos of a working mine deleted, I was met with abuse and confrontation. It cost quite a lot to fend off the cretins who tried to follow on.

Similar response when I replied to a thread about admins and hangers-on stealing from sites. Abuse, banned... the usual bullshit.

Stop with the holier-than-thou stupidity, we all know it's a sham. Don't spam places that shouldn't be spammed in public, and don't go half-inching the contents of places. It's a pretty low bar to clear for functioning adults.

It is sufficiently long ago that it seems to have gone from the site now. Also, I have retired as mine manager.
The trouble nowadays to my successor mainly comes from Faceache posts. An incident at the beginning of this year is still requiring 24 hour manned security to keep the morons away from killing themselves...

28 has moved on, as indeed we all have since our first forays underground.
I think that with the current issues we all face its time to forget the differences of the past and present a united front.
