I'm interested in the internal narrow guage rail layouts within the slate quays at Porthmadog. The were 3 quays in Porthmadog harbour, one on the North side and one on South side of the spit of land beyond what is now the terminal point of the Ffestiniog Railway Harbour Station and another on the other side of Afon Glaslyn. The largest quay was located at Garth on the Glaslyn about half a mile downstream. Old photos clearly show narrow guage tracks at Garth, with turntables to move wagons 90 degrees to the quay side. I would like to know how the narrow guage lines connected. Some nice coasting schooners and ketches were to be seen. I don't have Boyd, but I don't recall he covered the entire quay area. Any suggestions for any old OS 1250/2500s to look at?
