Considering dragging a few mates for a trip to Coniston in the near future, any tips for an 'entry level' walk in style visitor?
Don't mind wading in but would be turning back rather than trying to traverse any vertical shafts as we lack the necessary kit/experience.
Anyone got any updates on state of access to deep level or any recommendations for any other accessible adits/levels worth having a poke aound?
For reference we have hardhats, torches and decent boots but no ropes or climbing experience and I don't yet have the book but will get it.

When are you thinking of?
I was going to take my group up there soon?

Love that mine.
I have only been there once and did the through trip from top to bottom, absolutely amazing!

I'd be interested when you guys are thinking of going as it'll be nice to join you.

Will need to hit a few more places while up there as it's a blimmin long drive from down South and we'll need to make it worth while. :o

If the group is big enough we could split and have one lot do a walk around (no rope work) and another do the through trip with pull throughs. I believe 100m rope is required for the pull through trip, which I have.

Woo-hooo... I'm all excited.

Twitch (Kate Tyler, RIP 😞 ) first showed me some of the Lake Land mines. Miss her.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
