Another nice picture.
For the Southern boys and slate mine explorers this is a typical metal mine false floor. Looks ok and obvious but imagine you aren't the 1st along this passage and the water is murky from stirred up mud. Some of these stopes are over a 1000 feet down 😮
Want to dispose of something never to be seen again? (no toxic waste please!)

Nimrod's getting rather good at this photography lark! :)

I assume from Nimrod's comments on the other pic that this is in a part of the mine requiring a shed-load of SRT to get to and several fixed ropes which are there for a 'limited time only' ?

Yes... the 2 pics were taken on Wednesday evening & are only about 20mtrs apart. Yep, leaving rigged until approx end of July. 😉
