Hi girls/guys

I am new to this site,

would anyone have any information on Blackley mine in Little Hulton (manchester)? Whilst walking my dog through the woods/golf course I came across a hole with bricks in it. On closer inspection it used to be a tunnel which has collapsed in and now I can get down into the brick tunnel. I won't be going in it untill this heavy rain has stopped. It seems to run next to the M61. Has anyone got any basic information on exploring it? or if someone is local, maybe they can come with me?

thanks

source indicates "Sounds too far away from the site of Brackley Colliery, which was obliterated when opencasted around the mid 1990's, if it's close to the M61 it might be drainage related"
advice was to be careful without a sensor if drainage related .
regards,
Jakes dad

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
