Bad news all round.

Thinking in the longer term. The government has promised all this extra funding left right and centre, where is the money coming from given what must soon be a dramatic decrease in taxation income? Very dark days!

I imagine they will start printing money; it work well enough in Germany in the 1920s.

I think that's what the central banks have been doing via quantative easing since the 2008 financial crash. Difference is, this time the money is going direct to the workers, who will spend it in the economy.

Unfortunately they'll spend it on cheap **** from China, so the money will go out of the economy very rapidly. If we all bought UK made, it would stay in the economy much longer and we'd all benefit...

The real beneficiaries are the manufacturing nations (of which we are not one); we'll be left with an even larger debt.

Trouble is we are part of a global economy and its almost impossible to buy just British any longer, apart from food although even a lot of that is imported.

I have completed ten years' worth of work on the L and CR and fortunately distributed it to interested parties while I was still able to get to the PO. If you really do have another book in mind, let me know. I will need something good to read, believe me.

Unfortunately I have a sneaking suspicion that we might be asked to restrict/avoid taking leave when things return to normal to get business back on track.
