I've just rang the Miners to make sure we'd be able to fed on Tuesday night and it transpires that they aren't doing food over Christmas.

Options are then to either to nip into Alston which will eat into pub time or since I'll be doing ****** all for the next few days I can probably find the time to make a big vat of a very basic spag bol or chilli to bring along. Comes in fiery or catastrophic flavours.

There is another eatery in Nenthead, the ex pub, the Crown in Overwater. I had a meal there once and it was good. You will def need to book in advance. I assume that they are still going.

Looks like it will forecast rain here later for tonight and tomorrow. Floods may be the biggest risk lol.

Not quite a Range Rover, but there's a 4x4 scuby pick-up on my drive that you could borrow

Just needs a new alternator, battery and all new electrics

Somewhat warmer today. The roads appear to be clear round here, but some snow was forecast overnight for the middle of the country?
