Hi everyone, I am coming on this trip with 2 friends, they aren't members so can't add their names.

They have both been mine exploring before.

See you all soon.

Will be nice to meet a few more mine explorers!! 😉

Just a little bump for this.

Um... does anyone know where I can get my hands on a cheap headlamp? I had a Gelert one until the most recent cupboard clearout 😞

That said, I still have a Maglite...

Depends on how much Quality you want. Pound shop's generally have Bulb based ones. Maplin have a Combined Bulb/LED one (Selectable), about a fiver.

If he's happy to split em, I fancy one to modify.

Hi, Does anyone have any advice on minimising the wet feet problem at the bottom of the back vein incline?

I know the water is over wellie depth, I am thinking of just wearing an old pair of trainers and accepting the fact that I will cold wet feet & Trousers.

Sorry if this question has been asked before

I'll be wearing my usual boots, and taking a change of clothes and boots so I don't mess up rockchicks car. Having done the pipe crawl at Cambrian, a bit of wet doesn't worry me.

As long as my SLR and lights survive the water, I'm a happy man.

Wet socks 🙂 They're a revelation. your feet get wet but not cold. and they're nice and comfy.

The wet at the bottom of the BVI is only about knee depth and only for a minute or so.

This does indeed work. Even if you're soaked through, as long as you keep moving, then it's all good, body heat is a marvellous thing. We were wet from the waist down in Cambrian, and I can't recall anyone complaining or worrying about coldness.
