Absolutely brilliant trip with a very knowlagable guide that knew most that is to know about the old mine. The 1900bc workings is well worth seing, and the narrow steep route up to the wheelbarrow is really an adventure in itself. Simon, Sparty and our guide bravely went thru the neck high cold water while 4 of us had a tea break.
Quite fascinating seing that very old timbers in the mine are well preserved as the bacteria that rotts timber is killed by the acidic water. Another great thing is that you don't have slippery slime under your feet as that cannot grow in acidic conditions.
Many thanks for organising it.
