Went down to the 40yd level last night to the top of the 90yd shaft. Altogether 7 went down to the 40yd and 4 were training on the "route". We only used the classic route and were out just after 10.00pm. So I don't think the numbers interested (so far) will be a problem.

No, we still use it through the winter, it's just that certain areas are "out of bounds". Wednesday nights are usually when it's in use (for training or just exercise).

Those that are interested, can you get your diaries out and post the dates that you are NOT able to make it, hopefully will give more scope that way to decide on a date, if of course it fits in with the folks at Snailbeach. Weekends only i understand.

Thanks - I can do the 1st(1/2.3.08), 2nd (8/9.3.08), and 5th (29/30.3.08) weekends in March, and possibly the odd weekday.

Sorry, just failed the first intelligence test by giving the dates in March I was available.

I can't make 15th-16th March or 20th-24th March.

Well, i think we will have a final call for dates when people are not available in march, april ish. If there isnt a suitable response then i shall just throw a date up that is free!

I'm free in March 24th on (or possibly free 1st to 13th and away for the last two weeks), and then completely free all April apart from the trip on the 1st.

A brief update,

March and April will be restricted to a max of 8 people and will not be an srt visit due to the bats that live there, so, we can wait until a lttle later for the full on trip.

May, when the bats have finished hibernating. There is a bat group there that are consulted for advice, so the various people linked with the site fit around each other, so i understand.

This trip is booked for Sunday 18th May '08. Insurance is required.
It is important that people who are interested let me know as soon as possible because if there are more than 6 Steve H will require a colleague to assist, so, definites please asap!
