Does anybody use them?

I'm tempted by their North York Moors map as they claim to have the whole of the moors on a single sheet unlike the Ordnance Survey who require two.

Harveys boast is risible as their map does not include Cleveland & the coast in the north or the Howardian/Tabular Hills in the south which whilst being outside of the park, are part of the same upland area. It might however be worth suffering these shortcomings if the maps are otherwise as good as claimed.

When they say waterproof do they really mean showerproof or will they stand up to gale force winds & horizontal rain? Are they accurate & do they include the level of detail given on the Explorer series? Given they are printed on plastic 'paper', can you write on them with a biro or pencil?

Ta!

Thanks chaps. Hadn't noticed the scale. Had been looking at their 1:25000 of the Howgills immediately beforehand & wrongly assumed the moors map would be the same. 1:40000 isn't really detailed enough (& why complicate matters by not just using 1:50000?).

Will check the website when I get a moment.

Reviving an old thread but used one of these in anger for the first time trying to navigate in the clag on the Coniston fells this morning. Poxy cartoon pirate maps! Give me the lovely crisp lines & detail of a 1:25000 o/s map any day...
