I've tried to upload some old photos to this but when I hit upload it just sits for ages & then I get the IE error unable to connect - is there somthing wrong with the link of is it just me?

We inhabit an island made of coal, surrounded by a sea full of fish. How can we go wrong.......

Could be a bandwidth or server overload problem.
Have you tried reducing the size of your images to say, 800 * 600 pixel resolution before you try uploading them? This will reduce the file size. I know that resizing is done automatically by this site but you still have the transmission.

Was the upload one at a time or a batch upload?

Try turning off 'friendly HTTP error messages' in Internet Explorer's advanced preferences section; see if that gives any more clues.

However I'm inclined to think it's connectivity rather than any server issue; any errors are trapped by the error.htm page which indicates a problem has occured.
