Does anyone know what is happening?

I can't seem to find a conference web site.

I assume the conference is happening as a call for papers has just been posted on the Mining History Network - this seems incredibly late in the day.

I find it worrying at the end of January they are only just calling for papers?

Do you know if they are providing transport to sites once we get out to Dublin? I feel that will be a deal breaker for me if I have to take a vehicle across as that will make it prohibitive

I've booked a ferry crossing and accommodation at the university :smartass:

The conference will be followed for me by a tour of Ireland visiting distant relatives of Mrs T.

I hope you've booked two crossings Alex. We really want you back to help in 2017.

http://www.namho.org/download.php?doc=newsletters/2016-nl03-75.pdf  where it is stated that bookings will open on 14 March. However there's no sign of a conference website.

The information in the NAMHO Newsletter is as supplied in full from MHTI and also on their facebook page

Me too - it would have been nice if they could have told us that a special rate would be available.

You will note on the booking form that you will get a cheaper rate on the accommodation by not booking direct but via the organisers albeit we were advised to book direct ??

Simply I guess cancel with the Uni and book via NAMHO organiser but annoying has have done the same thing

Never mind, I'll probably leave my booking as it is since I've splashed out and booked a 'Superior' double room since I'll have the ever particular Mrs T with me ;)

Looking forward to this, looks like some good trips lined up
