Just throwing this open for discussion.

2012 was a bit of a thin year for 'organised' trips.

Has anybody got any specific ideas / requests for trips?

I guess (and hope!) we'll be doing the Wales long weekend again in the summer. And perhaps another open invite weekend. But there should be room in the calendar for a few one day trips at weekends.

Any thoughts?

Its's been ages - probably two years - since we did a newbie type trip as well.

a newbie type trip sounds good please; never done srt but did try some rock climbing a few years ago. Not too keen on narrow crawls.
Don't mind about location but some nice surface features would be a bonus.
I went in a mine once.... it was dark and scary..... full of weirdos

I had a year off organising a trip after Swaledale 2010 and 2011.

If there is the demand for it I would organise something in Yorkshire Dales / Nenthead

Is there any call for a beginners Nenthead trip, or is that just something people figure out for themselves ?

Or are more people wanting deep water and SRT type trips ?

It would be good to have some walk in/out trips for novices. I only have experience of three mines and would like to tag along with more experienced chaps to widen my horizons. In my 50's but work in the building trade so fit enough for most stuff. 🙂

Give them a ring. They are very competitve and friendly.

I'm happy to do something along the line of an advanced beginners trip in Smallcleugh, i.e. more than just the Ballroom tourist route.
So no rope work and crawls/water/ladders tailored to the feelings of those along at the time.
Don't look so embarrassed, it's a family trait...

OK I delegate the beginners to Nenthead trip to Nick then 8-)

(assuming there are actually people wanting it)

I've never been to Nenthead so I'd be in on that one
A dedicated photo trip would be good...I need the practice...
We did a trip a couple of years back where we split into photographers and non-photographers so people could choose their own preference and then met up at the end. Can't think where it was though....Myself, Newstuff, EWJ, Skimble, Simonrl, Davel, SteveTurbo etc....oh and Moocher. Good trip  Could do something similar with a big group? We have picked up a few new faces in the last 12 months

Reasonably easy to split up a bit, obviously depending on abilities and happiness.
A bit of thought should mean that we can easily split up and regroup without losing too many to the Troll under the bridge.

It was a good laugh, as were some of the exits up the shaft... (Mine included) 😞

Moel Fferna! Now I remember! Good fun
Something similar would be good, somewhere dry-ish with easy-ish access for those wanting to concentrate on the photography side of it?

The CRTT hasn't been done in the last couple of hours   . I know three Thursday Nighters who are keen to tick it off. We could make a day of that? Also plenty to see, do and photograph at each end for those not wanting to take the plunge?
