Do you mean 9am for a massive fry-up followed by an 11am start for a leisurely stroll up the hill?

The cafe's between Tanygrisiau station (Ffestiniog railway) and the power station.
Turn off the main road by the field of dead tractors; immediately fork left; cafe car park on right after 1/2mile by end of lake.

Me/us, if running late, we'll head straight to the Cwm carpark...

Photos? Yup, bring as much gear as you feel like carrying.
SRT? For nutters only. Not needed for the sensible bits.

Just bumping up the thread one last time!
Thanks to Turbo for offering to guide  and thanks to the others who have sorted out a map, directions etc

Seems like a good few of us will be attending?

So far I think there is, in no particular order:

Turbo Steve
Phil2895
AlexA
Blober
Dwarrowdelf + 2?
Llay101
Donstuart
Willy Eckerslyke
MHSaher
Hamster
Sinker

I think a couple of others fancied it but not confirmed? fjallvandring? Mudbeast?

Any more takers?

Assume that's it unless we hear different?

For anyone not sure, the meeting place is the Lakeside Café, here:

http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=52.985583&lon=-3.965708&z=17.5&r=0&src=msa

at 0900 for a BIG breakfast 😉 or for anyone either running late or on a diet, meet up after breakfast at Cwmorthin car park, here:

http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=52.989934&lon=-3.963354&z=17.5&r=0&src=msa

at around 1000-1030, depending on how long it takes to eat the breakfast

I'll be there by 0900  . Weather forecast looks "interesting" 😉

We'll most likely head direct to Cwm carpark, so see you there.

A big thanks to all for turning out on one of the wettest days of the year!
Nice to meet AlexA, Dwarrowdelf, Hamster and all the others that you brought along. A nice friendly group who all had a great time by all accounts. Hope you didn't mind that David, Margot and I disappeared on the SRT pitch for a while, it was too tempting to resist and we found a lovely old valve chamber up there which David has photographed for you all to see. Thanks to Turbo Steve for showing them around the Western half while we did that
As I mentioned, I will post something up later on regarding our trip on Thursday evening. 😉 All the London crowd are more than welcome to come along and make the most of your week in North Wales. See you all then

Sorry I didn't show up chaps, I got as far as Pentrefoelas and turned round due to the rain.

I fancied another look round Rhosydd but not enough to get **** soaked wet.

It was nice to meet so many new faces. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip despite the weather (which could have been worse!)

It was a bit cramped for my 28mm lens:

We also saw this sheave wheel which is largely complete:

As you can see there was a lot of water coming out of a 9" pipe and running down the incline. Oddly, this doesn't flow through the blockage as the incline is dry below.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
