I've seen a few model engine houses around over the years, some pretty average and some downright laughable.
Disregarding a few scale issues, this one is definitely an example of good design and plenty of forethought.
There were some very good models in the garden of the late Clifton George at Whitehall Scorrier, (somewhere I've got some slides of those).
Nice effort I think and a bit better than the one up on Buller Hill.

A working scale, complete with Bob and trial shaft would be even nicer...

I want one of those.

That would be an excellent idea for any of the Cornish tourist attractions - miniature boiler and pumping house, perhaps generating electricity to power a miniature 00 gauge tramway...
Maybe one for Moseley museum at Redruth??

And if it catches on they could be placed all over the county, on cliffs, in woods, next to rivers, even on the odd mine site too.

It does remind me of the one that used to be at the top of Bucketts Hill next to the Carnkie junction alongside the 'your welcome to Redruth' sign

If it can't be grown it has to be mined.

-except on Saturdays when they are closed!

I wonder what the costs are to build a working one from scratch vs scaled size? at 1/100th maybe a few hundred pounds (using bits and pieces and not new cast parts)? Full size £ 1 million +? everything else in between those amounts?

Didn't there used to be semi-scale set up at the old Cornwall In Minature site at St Agnes that Duchy of Cornwall used to operate - seemed to remember it was reasonable good and the whim was motorised; mind you my memory's reasonably bad

Nice model, but they have some way to go before they catch up with the guy at Nenthead.
