Hi guys looking at buying wheel lovelle engine house near we drown. Looking for any information on the shaft, or history looking at the side it had a double storey outhouse on the side and the planning permission is for a single level dwelling nooner got any old maps or drawings or know where to start , would also love to get in touch with anyone who has done this before. I am trying to find a community to restore it so that it looks its best. Any trades men shaft capping stone masons that you know that can do this beauty justice let us know. Plus is anyone has experience even horror stories please share

I'd very much echo FPP's comments; stop and consider why the seller is not doing the development themselves.

Yes, engine houses can be converted to make nice homes but there are so many possible nasty surprises you either need to know how to find them yourself, or pay someone who does have the know-how.

If you are planning on buying, be prepared to have your hopes and dreams totally smashed. It's going to be expensive, grotty, stressful and gruelling. And most of all, you're dealing with the total unknown. I would recommend not buying unless you have deep pockets and lots of time.
