As title says. I've pondered the fact for several years and following coming home with a load of rocks which may or may not be pitchblende, it is time for me to get a counter.

Ideally, I'd like something which measures Bq (cps). It's got to do alpha, 100%

Other than that, off you go.

Ideally, I'd like to keep it (well) under £350.

Gamma Scout is looking like a strong contender. It's bloody expensive though.

Having said. Good tools cost.
