This is the Giew mill site, the stack and 2 brunton calciners are about where the "S" is on engine house, This site is probably in my opinion one of the most interesting and best preserved mill sites around, but it is now a "jungle" of brambles and thorn bushes!!!. The mill run by S Furse was one of the most efficient in the world at the time ( early 1920s) , apparently people used to come from all over to visit it !!. I spent a lot of time researching this site in the 1980s , when I worked for a tin exploration company . We had an amazing aerial photo taken of the site in WW2 all the mill layout was visible then, stamp beds, Buddles the whole works, I wish I still had the photo it was about 3 foot square !!! :smartass:
