The 0-4-0ST 'Cyclops' was used in Dorman Long's works on Teesside and might be the only survivor of such engines. It's identifiable among the other rusting hulks by its big rectangular unsprung buffers. For some years it was preserved outside the apprentice training centre at South Bank.
One of its duties was to haul the 'glass carriage' around the works in which rode managers on their tour of inspection; that is also alleged to be preserved at Marley Hill.
