Excellent set of photos of the unrestored stuff at Tanfield - long overdue. Well done Chris and thanks. 🙂

I only included the photos of the mine related stuff in their yard, its well worth an afternoon looking at their huge collection of unrestored trains and carriages.

(even if its only because some idiot forgot their oversuit and we couldn't go underground 😞 )

But Chris, you missed out two important items!
The 0-4-0ST 'Cyclops' was used in Dorman Long's works on Teesside and might be the only survivor of such engines. It's identifiable among the other rusting hulks by its big rectangular unsprung buffers. For some years it was preserved outside the apprentice training centre at South Bank.
One of its duties was to haul the 'glass carriage' around the works in which rode managers on their tour of inspection; that is also alleged to be preserved at Marley Hill.

Yes, I'll have it - what is it?
