As with previous years every penny of profit from sales will be going to one or more relevant good causes within the mine exloration, mining history, preservation or rescue organisation community.

Open to suggestions please? Where should next year's calendar proceeds go? As with previous years we'll go with majority opinion.

We have split proceeds a number of times, usually between a preservation group and a rescue organisation; I like this concept.

As ever... the more copies of the calendar we sell the more gets raised and donated. So when the time comes please feel free to push them on friends, club members and so on :lol:

Given we've given funds to NWCRO, DCRO and COMRU to date, another CRO that was mentioned in a different thread some time ago was MCRO.

Might I suggest Devon CRO - we have a fair few mines on our patch.

I agree with Tamarmole... Devon CRO as we always get overlooked down this part of the world.

The proceeds of the calender should to the Cornwall Search and Rescue Team. Cornwall is pickled with mines, new holes often opening up; animals and children go missing down these holes and it is up these guys, in conjunction with the Fire and Rescue Services, to reach them and pull them to safety.

Also, Derbyshire Cave/Mine Rescue Group. We all often go underground up there.

I suggested MCRO (Midlands Cave Rescue) last year and not long after they were called out on the big Snailbeach Rescue

The precedent has been set in previous years for a split in that way and wouldn't disagree in that.

I think a share at least should go to the Nenthead group, we need to keep as many holes accessible as possible so that the rescue organisations have something to do! 😮 😮 😮
