Yes, this is the trip where I almost single handedly wiped out the membership of CATMHS! We all had very shiny clean gear afterwards though ::)

I was gutted I couln't make that one, until I got reports from the Captain on the wetness factor.

Mind you, trips with the Colonel are never a walk in the park!

When all’s said and done though it was well worth the struggle. After we’d negotiated the handful of re-belays right in the full force of the deluge the level at the bottom was like nothing I’d seen before. Countless tubs, a horse-gin, waterwheel and even a calcified horse or two.

Well that’s what I like to imagine. We might well have found out as well if the level wasn’t sumped to the roof a few yards either side of the shaft... :lol:
