I visited this mine yesterday on my way up Moel Ysfarnogod.
It's described on this site as a slate quarry but there is no evidence of slate on site. Instead it appears to be a Manganese working, with a trench running for about 400+ metres parallel to a tramway and spoil being deposited between the workings and the tramway.
One building remains on site and there are bits of old tramway line at the west end of the workings. I took a few pics and could put on site if anyone is interested.

Yes please!
Have you got the spelling correct? I cannot find any such site listed, be it as a slate, or anything else, mine.
EDIT: I have found it now. It is listed as Cefn-Clawdd. What a difference a hyphen makes!
