I've been sorting the database a bit here and there and have come up with a solution for the 'Which Wheal Jane' problem.
There are now two Files - Wheal Jane, (Falmouth Consolidated)
ie the original Wheal Jane west of Carrine Common and Wheal Jane (Goldfields / RTZ / Carnon) ie the mine that closed in the 1980's. aka West Wheal Jane Hopefully this will resolve the problem as to where to put your pic's /doc's etc. 🙂 🙂

By the way there are two entries for the Falmouth consolidated Wheal Jane at present ,but Once Mikebee has shifted his doc's over I'll delete the entry. Thanks.
P.S. I've stayed up far too late with this especially as I've got a trip on tomorrow..gahhhhhh! time for

Fine by me Roy, as that seems to solve it well.
Which brings me nicely to.....
Given Cornwall is such a major area on here and has considerable complexity as raised by Carnkie recently, I think in future we should make our major DB changes such as Deletions (except where obvious duplicates), major name changes and re-organisations in the same way thus avoiding circumstances where others may not agree with what we propose.
I say this as with 3+ admin on the area and many interested non admin it would be easy to crunch each others toes  so better things get discussed as you have done quite rightly in the open.
The up side to this in that doing it this way we get a DB that is managed for the SW where changes can be seen openly by all users and commented on 🙂

As a side note... when I saw those pictures recently uploaded of modern Wheal Jane I actually shivered with excitement, such a rarity to see pictures of that mine in such a way as those.

Such a shame it closed, I would give allot to be able to go down there... being in my 20's has it's disadvantages when it comes to loving the modern mines down here!

I think the disadvantages may well be outweighed by the advantages. 🙂

Maybe in allot of things but certainly not in seeing mining activity down here, Crofty is looking like it will hold some future potential to make up for it though ;)

I would like to see some sheave wheels spinning though... all this Tuckingmill decline business is great but I want to see some vertical shafts back in action!

I assume you know there is an open day at the King Edward Mine next sunday. Holman's Winder and Mill and Stamps will be working. No sheave wheels tho'. For details in case anyone else doesn't know:

Regarding the earlier posts by Roy and Iclok I agree entirely. Unilateral changes are only really acceptable when it is something obvious like a duplication or a duff GR. Anyway discussionis are the name of the game and there are many people with ideas and expertise around.
Regarding the complexity issue I have been giving it some thought and personally I think any retrospective action is a non-starter. Things best left as they are although as has previously been said, people are welcome to disagree if they can think of a different approach.
When it comes to new additions perhaps, whenever possible, a brief description would maybe clarify matters. I appreciate that this isn't always possible.
