hiya every 1, im an avied gold panner, and go up to scotland quite often, is there any place that has gold,
when i get a drysuit i would like to come on an outing exploring with you lot as it sounds fun, had done pot holing when i was mad and younger

Welcome to the forum.

Dolacothi, is the best area in wales for gold panning, also several mines as well.
Better to regret something you have done - than to regret something you have not done.

There is gold in Southern Scotland in the Wanlockhead area, between Mennock Water and Meggat Water.
There is another area around Tyndrum in Central Scotland and there was a mini goldrush in 1868 to Kildonan in Sutherland.
Ireland is probably the best bet for finding gold in the British Isles though.

I heard not too long ago that a company (foreign) were interested in Gwynfynedd and that 'papers had been signed'
Rumour or fact.......Anyone?
