The guy who runs the caravan site at Clements end, where we go as often as we can, was lucky enough to be around when the shaft at SO 57110 07187 was recently capped and filled and took several photos. I'd like to post some of these, but can't relate the shaft back to a particular mine. Anyone any ideas?

What does the asterix after some of the names signify Tony?

Thanks Tony. I spent half of yesterday in Cinderford library with your book, but none on them seem close enough. The road seems to be the divide between iron and coal generally, so assume it's coal as it's east of the road.

Do you still have any copies of your book for sale?

lipsi [is that Maltese for rabbit?] has been offered the last copy. Photocopying is proving expensive, might think about issuing it as a CD without the surveys.
