Are trips on Thursday, Friday and Monday down to delegates to arrange for themselves, or will they be organised as led groups?
I was hoping to do two full days of lectures and a few trips on the other days.
A bit of both.
I plan on taking an early bird on Thursday afternoon, location under consideration, as is another of my leaders. But we have no way of knowing demand as we are breaking new ground on this event.
I am considering a few trips that will be 'semi led', basically straightforward mines with no deep water or SRT whereby trips will run say every hour on the hour, with delegates free to wonder after the conducted tour.
I expect a large number and am lucky with the location and intend to play the cards I have to the best advantage of my delegates.
I have good memory of the Morwellham NAMHO when a dedicated group of leaders got about 35 delegates through Devon Great in a single day, and that with multiple SRT pitches.
There will be an all day Friday Cwmystwyth Lefel Faw with David James and me giving talks in the mine, the 'Friday Underground lecture program', him on the geology and me on the underground works and challenges involved. Probably a concurrent skipway SRT so you can see the silly buggers on their ropes,
In short Peter, turn up in time for the Thursday pm trip, take your pick for Friday and Monday, and enjoy the lecture program Sat and Sun.
