'No description, no date & no archaeological merit, shouldn't this be on 28DL. '

Well, I've never been on 28 days later so I don't know about that bit, but maybe whoever this was was right, a lot of our photos that are batch uploaded haven't got descriptions or titles, so I think I'm going to spend a few hours adding them. 🙂
btw: already says 'when' the photo is uploaded , so people would assume that the pic was uploaded not too long after it was taken; if it was taken maybe a few years before then maybe adding a date eg: 'July 2002' or whichever wouldnt be a bad idea.

Cast your minds back to November, Simon pushed for everyone to add detail to their photo's, nobody disagreed at the time!
It is a lengthy process, especially those who have uploaded hundreds. This will certainly tidy the site up, and just for once this isn't a job the admins can do!!! (apart from their own photo's 😞 )

YAY!
Well done Lap! There are scores of pics out there with no details and some with just basic details such as the name of the mine...No location....no county...and give no clues as to when the pic was taken.
There are a lot of people from all over the world who visit the site researching family history etc and are not as clued up as us Mine Explorers as to where a lot of these places are. you can click on a picture on the home page and it may tell you that it's say Bedford United. Where is that? Bedford maybe?
I think we should all be following Laps example in making A.N. THE mining resource that people refer to first.
Once again ....Hats off to Lap

IMHO In our context (rather than pure photography), the discription is as important as the image. Indeed in many cases, such as where there is a paucity of good images, more so!
We inhabit an island made of coal, surrounded by a sea full of fish. How can we go wrong.......

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
