Suggestions, please, for a North Wales trip on 2nd January 2012, the bank holiday.

There should have been plenty of time to recover from the night before the night before; and just enough time to fit in a trip before the year begins properly.

So... who and where?

Something not too taxing, yet not too relaxing methinks; possibly a bit of rope work, but not compulsory.

Suggestions on the proverbial postcard, if you please!

I am planning a trip at Alderley to try and lift some lids that haven't been opened for over 20 years!!

Gas Axe? 😎.

I'd be up for a trip anywhere on the 2nd, don't really mind where.

Any ideas what we're doing down in N Wales on the 2nd? Any takers? Easy / SRT / ?

Sinker and the Thursday crew - are you still planning something around the 29/30?

Is anyone doing anything in North Wales on Monday apart from recovering from NYE festivities?

Hi I would be interested, I'm a competent caver but have recently moved to North Wales so haven't had a chance to explore much. I'm happy with SRT. Not too sure at the moment what i'm doing but could be up for a trip underground on monday, can I come?

It shall be Corris, exact location to be confirmed on the day.

http://www.aditnow.co.uk/events/?uid=166  if you're attending / discuss below :)

Would image about half an hour's walk before and after the underground bit, to include having a look at a few surface remains, then perhaps 4-5 hours underground.

Some vertical ascent and descent, nothing too strenuous, SRT kit probably not required.

Just a gentle bump towards the top, seeing as the forum is rather busy today!

Having had a chat with the man with the explosives (these do not relate to Monday's trip!), it has been concluded that SRT kit will not be required. Even if you're very keen...

Applogies to all but due to problems beyond my control including a LOAD of paperwork to prepare for work on the 3rd, I won't be able to attend at Corris tomorrow. Appologies all round, especially to Skimble unfortunately I can't now provide the lift I promised.... 😠

Vanoord: let me know how the TK35 worked out. I will PM you.

Simon, Skimble, Hymac etc I will be out on Thursday night....provided that I am working at the "correct" end of the country! 😉

Sorry to hear that Skimble!

Sinker: similarly, shame you can't make it, we'll have to arrange a return trip sometime soon. 🙂
