Some new site features have gone live today, a lot are behind the scenes improvements, but some need explaining:
2) Major Improvement to Events ModuleA big modification has been made to the Events Management Module
http://www.aditnow.co.uk/events/ Previously you had to select the mine/quarry/location from a massive drop-down of all mines/quarries/locations in all countries, a massive list now and very slow to load.
Now it steps you through country (defaults to UK) then initial letter then mine/quarry/location.
Plus the dates are now entered as text in dd/mm/yyyy. The old drop down date selector wasn't reliable and was somewhat arcane to use if you were editing an event.
Hopefully this revised system will prove much easier to use... and encourage lots more meets and events across the UK ;)
