I happened to notice "Mines" on the map whilst looking for something else.

https://canmore.org.uk/site/180982/leebotten-sandwick-mines

The 1st Edition OS identifies as Sandwick Mines and labels as Copper and Iron. And shows West of the Canmore NGR, South of Sand Lodge.

Two magazines are shown and one "Old Shaft".

The 1900s map marks then "Disused".

If anyone is looking for a bit more info see, memoirs of the Geological Survey, Scotland. Special report on the mineral resources of Great Britain. Vol XVII The Lead, Zinc, Copper and nickel Ores of Scotland 1921 pages 148 and 151. It is also mentioned in Mining-History Archive. Hope this helps.JL

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
