Some photos from a recent trip down the colliery. Access was simple, and the drift is in fairly good condition, although a little more wet then I expected! Was also good to see the coal seam, something I had never seen before.

You don't usually see coal mines in that state - usually they've been sealed or filled.
Do you reckon ya could add the mine in to the database with some of those pics?
I went in a mine once.... it was dark and scary..... full of weirdos

Suppose the air was fairly good, 'cause Scargill was still alive

Yes the air seemed fine. And indeed Scargill my canary was happy as larry. The adit got worse deep down, with collapses more frequent. I really want to see more of this kind of thing if anyone knows of any more?
