I was in the coppermines yesturday as well, namely ***** End.

It's just, I read somewhere that it was quite deep in water, has it been drained..?

The outbye section of the level is quite safe to explore. No water to speak of. I think I know what you are reffering to with the water.... Every part of the mine (The major part)below Deep Adit, some 204 fathoms, is under water. On the plus side though, there is plenty to explore above Deep adit.

What do you mean when you say "the main part" however?
Ps: doesn't deep level lead to a junction in which in situated: "The Bonsor east shaft"? This is presumably flooded below here, allowing you to see a dogey hole in the tunnel floor flooded up to an excessive depth....

Yes Deep Level meets the hugely rich Bonsor Vein, but the vein itself is not now accessible from deep level, being blocked by collapses in both directions. There are, however, other(sporting) ways into both the east and west parts of the vein (the parts of it that are not below the water).

Cheers, that's quite a lot of water. I heard there was a plan to open one of the levels in the 50s, though this was abandoned, though loking at Eric Holland's book there is part of deeplevel known as "The 1954 bypass level". Ps: is there any point in going along deep level from the adit, does it lead anywhere?
