Miles,

Thank you for your continued generosity in allowing access to Cwmorthin and thank you for your continued (costly) efforts to stave off the idiots.

I have said it many times and it is worth saying it again (especially now) that you are the most benevolent mine owner I know towards those wishing to go underground and not only do you allow access to your second home (first home?), Cwmorthin has now become a significant part of your livelihood.

There is no single person who has more reason to “lock down” a mine than you and, yet, despite the value of the mine to yourself in terms of both your personal position and your livelihood upon which you depend, you continue to allow access even when cretins put you to inconvenience and expense by vandalising your (easily passable) gate.

Thank you :)

Thank you very much for your kind support. Cwmorthin means so much to so many people, I wouldn't dream of locking the place down. It's plenty big enough for everybody.

So many great places do get shut up needlessly, I'll not let that happen to Cwm.

The change to the key system is simply to try and curb the vandalism, not to make access harder.

May she be the bringer of many happy adventures to explorers everywhere, for decades to come...

I've not had a day off work yet! It's Easter you know.

You'll need to visit the office in Betws until I get it all sorted. SimonRL has collected an Aditnow key to keep, borrowing that one might be another option if he's in the area at the same time.
