If anyone can give me a lift on the 29th, I can come out to play. I have a 30M semi-static rope if people want to Lifeline with that, and I'll bring some spare karabiners and Strops for Rigging.

If it does clash, assuming someone wants to pick up the rope etc, you are more than welcome to borrow them. I can leave them in work, and let them know you are coming.

Leave it as late as you like, can be Thursday daytime if needs be.
Moocher, do we need a scaffold pole to hang the ladder from?

If you intend to do cabin, there is a really useful tree (for safety line) and then a few telegraph poles protecting the shaft head that are easily rigged from with a decent sized sling/belay.

I don't think i'll be coming along to this, but if I do I'll see you all up there 🙂

so is this a 7pm meet at the quarry enterance? i've gotten slightly lost with whether folks are planning on SRTing or laddering this- i'm going down on a rope- it's a horrible ladder pitch! 😮

ok, i have no idea how to put a map up, so if you put 'Maes-y-ffynnon Road, gwynfryn' in google maps it'll get you to the right place- go right to the end of the road and park there- there's a gate across the road at the entrance to the quarry.

Really not sure 15m ladder will reach you know- isn't that a standard length? The comment i had back on the depth of the shaft was 1.5 ladders! i don't have access to a second ladder to join 'em together tho- it really will be a long ladder climb!
