Hi,
can anyone tell me the location of the above mine,is it on the way upto maenofferen but over to the right please advise.

Either along the Rhiw Bach tramway, and cross country at the Maenofferen end of the lake, or up (there is a path) from the Bethaia end of Blaenau Ffestioniog.

Diffwys is in two parts. Hen Diffwys, an open pit with a dangerous scramble down, and Diffwys Newydd which has two adits, you'll find them around top and bottom of the inclines.

Simon, on that map, place mark 2, is that the adit we came out from a few weeks ago?

I think that's the one we went in - the one we came out was at the bottom of that incline down and left of the '2' mark.
