Brilliant, any idea when this incline disapeared under the present tip?

This extract is from the 1900 edition of the OS. You can see how the lower end of the incline is being encriached on by Doman Fawr. The alternative tramways to connect Holland's lower mill to Middle Quarry were put in about 1890 or so, after which the Incline was abandoned. Readers of Boyd's history of the FR may recall the "deviation" of the line at Glan y Pwll which was to make the site of the old DInas branch available for tipping and while DOman Fawr certainly obliterated Inclen Fawr, it didn't quite get as far as it was originally thought it would!

There's a photo taken across the LNWR yard at Blaenau which shows the incline in just about this state. I'll have a dig and see if I can find it.

Thank you all. The layout has been featured in the Narrow Gauge and Industrial and also in June Railway Modeller. I have tried to portray the Dinas terminus and the buried incline/cottages of Rhiwbryfdir as they might have looked in the late 1860's when the first Fairlie Little Wonder had just been delivered. The layout is based on just a few photos of the station building in books, the OS maps and the photo sent to me by GrahamI several years ago - thank you!
