what was the boiler used for inside the minllyn mine?

I haven't seen this myself, but is it a boiler? It is more likely to be an air receiver (or an old boiler used later as an air receiver). Although I know boilers were used underground sometimes.

This was a boiler for the underground steam crane.

Up above the boiler (at the rear of the photo out of shot) are sections of the flue stacked neatly.

thanks jonk, yes l saw the crane went down the mine last sunday will up load my pictures soon lot more water in there now.
