Hello all!
This strange, very oddly sized Iron Wheel is found in a tunnel leading off from Dali's Hole (Sinc Twyll clawdd?) into the bottom of a pit. The tunnel is it two sections. The tunnel was used to carry water. The water would flow out of the pit, into the tunnel, where it was carried by a leat. At the end of this 1st tunnel, the water would flow into another leat, going round the side of another sinc, in the bottom of which is the odd chamber opening. The tunnel would then go into the next tunnel along the same leat, before flowing out at the other end. It is also possible that these tunnels were once used for ordinary transport, though it would seem that it would have been replaced by the one running below it into the chamber.
Any theories about the chamber or the wheel by the way?
