the engine house to the right in the pics is Wheal Seton?, and the stamps/mill to the left across the valley was East Pool's mill connected to their main site (where the supermarket and Taylor's Shaft is now) via the tramway and later, an overhead bucket line. Luke Anthony machine tools occupied part of that site for some years - maybe they're still there. The embankment crossing the picture l to r is a very new A30 Camborne bypass. The valley stream was the eponymous Red River.
I recall ferreting about round there - without a camera - about this time. Later there was a mill upstream of the new A30 taking tailings from South Crofty at Tuckingmill for a while. I think this area has been "improved" since. Thanks for putting up the pics.:thumbup:
