I doubt south winder (man hoist), will ever move, as scooptram says the bed plate is broken, its also a pretty archaic design, installed at crofty second hand in the 60's. With its shear physical size and its ancillary equipment (Its a ward leonard drive, meaning it has an AC motor, driving a DC generator, driving the main DC motor), I can't see any future mine wanting it. Also the main reason the headframe is so big, as the sheave wheels are designed to suit the enormous drum radius.
North winder was installed in the 80's, its a modern thyristor controlled hoist and as such its physically a lot smaller, with a greater capacity. Unusually, It also has a split clutched drum, meaning it can be used a sinking hoist, so if someone was looking to open a new deep mine, it may be of interest to them.
