Dropped into Clipstone Colliery today as a rumour had been flying around that the Twin Headgears were going to be demolished after all!!
By all accounts English heritage may get over ruled re their listing. Does any one have the full picture please as this would be a true disaster if they are knocked down as they are as much a part of the Sherwood forest area as Robin Hood and trees!
The demolition men are there and have demolished all but the headgears and winding house. 😞
