Marshalls was part of Grenville the engine would have been sold by its self or scraped (have the info some where but not at home at the mo) unless that part of the mine was sold as a set. there are a few cases where the engine house has been sold aswell and removed stone by stone unity wood springs to mind go there to look and you got a shaft with a big hole next to it they even took the foundations! :ohmygod:

D.B.Barton 'The Cornish Beam Engine', 1969, p.79: 'In 1903 ... South Condurrow with its four engines (Marshall's 60"; a 26" whim bought in 1881 for £220 from West Chivwerton; plus two sets of steam stamps) was bought by Grenville for £875 complete. The original intention ... had been to pump all the water by Fortescue's 90" (with 18" pumps), reserving Goold's 80" for winter use when necessary. In fact, however, all three engines were needed to keep the mines drained during wet winters ...'; p.83: lists engines remaining in west Cornwall in 1922(total 14, 2 working, 12 idle); includes: 'Grenville: 90" Fortescue's - idle; 80" Goold's - idle, scrapped about 1928; 60" Marshall's - idle, scrapped about 1923'.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
